BelkaCTF #7

Event

BelkaCTF is a digital forensics CTF held by Belkasoft, the vendor of Evidence Center X forensic toolkit. Unravel an investigation story by solving a series of diverse DFIR challenges. The CTF is open to both professional forensic analysts and enthusiastic amateurs. <i>* * * — Damn these blue screens to hell! — The Chief sucked on his cigar so hard I thought his lungs would surrender first. — Half the country's on pause! — Airports, hospitals, power plants… all crashed into that lovely blue abyss, — I nodded, lazily jamming a USB stick into my laptop. — Except one terminal. — Which one? — The dispatcher's workstation at the airport. Didn't BSOD like the rest — instead, it runs some weird locker, blasting propaganda: "Hit the streets on this date, show 'em who's boss..." The Chief let out a dry chuckle: — So, detective, what's your take? — My take? This ain't some script kiddie brag. Someone's playing crowd control through hijacked Windows boxes. He exhaled smoke slowly, eyes gleaming: — Then it's time we find out who woke up the streets from behind a ransom screen. — Already on autopilot, Chief. Just don’t mess with my coffee mug.</i>

Holmes CTF 2025

Event

Event Overview Welcome to HTB’s first-ever Blue CTF! This gauntlet of Sherlock-style challenges leads you through a case that has yet to be solved! Joining this event will allow you to investigate a range of scenarios: Threat Intelligence SOC DFIR Malware Reversing With a team of 5, use your collective wit to dive into this forensic mystery and resolve an issue plaguing the city of Cogwork-1. Use your ace intellect to solve the crimes in Cogwork-1 Consider this our official debrief. Holmes left some vague context (as he does) before heading out into the field. Here’s what we know: We are getting strange readings from around the city; there were some targeted attacks on local businesses that seemed off. Who was chosen and the type of attack piqued Holmes’ interest, so he set out ahead of us. Odd though… he was muttering about something that had happened a while back, and he expressed distress about a personal AI he developed named WATSON. See, WATSON was his collaborative ally in his attempts to curb the crime happening around the city. However, some time ago, a catastrophic false-alert event caused by WATSON triggered a year-long manhunt for a breach that never existed. We were chasing ghosts. Reputations ruined. Careers ended. The entire city was paralyzed over a phantom that was in our own backyard. The event known as NULLINC caused Holmes to shut down his creation, his friend. So, we are just as confused about why he’d mention WATSON now, but you never can get a read on that man. Head out into the field and assist him in finding out what’s going on. We are counting on your detectives.

The Red Team Association is hosting an attack/defend CTF qualifier event on September 27th from 12 PM to 8 PM PST. Each team will receive an identical vulnerable system to authenticate to and secure. Teams must identify security vulnerabilities in their assigned system, then use their knowledge to exploit the same vulnerabilities in other teams' systems. Date: September 27th, 2025 Time: 12 PM - 8 PM PST (8 hours) Registration: Open until the event begins Team Size: No limits Difficulty: Beginner/Intermediate Technical Requirements: SSH client only How It Works: Teams receive SSH credentials (key and IP address) to access their assigned vulnerable system. Flags rotate every minute, allowing teams to submit flags continuously for points. Teams are penalized for taking their services offline, so maintaining system availability while securing vulnerabilities is crucial. Qualification: The top 50 teams will be invited to compete in the multi-day InfiniteCTF Main Event on November 7th-8th. The Main Event is online and features significantly more systems and challenges ranging from beginner to advanced difficulty. The first place team will receive 5 Flipper Zeros, thanks to our sponsor Casco (https://casco.com). For questions, contact us on LinkedIn!

PH03N1X V1P3R N0V4 CTF

Event

PH03N1X V1P3R N0V4 CTF a new ctf in town. A CTF with a twist. Because its aim is to teach rather than focus on competition side. The approach we’ll utilize is the following: during the 3 day competition at multiple points we’ll freeze the scoreboard, and well split the 40 teams in 2, so 20/20. Than say group A will have to teach or explain to group b a certain challenge randomly chosen. Now if group B manages to solve it they are still allowed to keep competing. If they don’t manage to solve it they won’t be allowed to continue the competition. This method encourages peer based learning. A physical presence unique event not only on the way the ctf takes place, but unique cause it's only one stage so no qualifiers. Event will contain embedded pwn(arduino pwn+ re),space hacking(kudos to EthosLabsLLC), mainframe hacking(special thanks to soldier of fortran), bomb defusal, normal pwn, web, crypto ,forensics, powerpc,ic(cmos) revese engineering, nday development, docker escape, and car hacking, ics&scada(shoutout i0.rs group), browser pwn. Event will be from 29-31 October, physically in Timisoara, Romania. StackSmash CTF

Event

In the retro kingdom of SegFaultia, chaos has erupted. The dastardly Heap Hopper, a rogue programmer turned villain, has kidnapped Princess Pomegrante and locked her away in the infamous Stack Dungeon, a fortress built entirely of corrupted memory stacks and unstable code. The kingdom’s last hope is Super Jumpio, a daring, mustachioed hero known for his incredible leaps and unmatched debugging skills. Armed with his Binary Boots and trusty Debugger Hat, Super Jumpio must navigate through levels of vulnerable code, leaping over buffer overflows, smashing through bad pointers, and outwitting Heap Hopper’s dynamic linker traps. To prevail, Super Jumpio must jump, debug, and smash his way to victory, rescuing the Princess and restoring stability to SegFaultia!

Standoff Cyberbattle 16

Event

Standoff is a large-scale cyber battle simulating real-world attacks and defenses on replicas of IT systems from various industries. Red and blue teams compete in a hyper-realistic virtual city, targeting or defending sectors like banking, energy, and telecom. Open to international teams only. Red teams test systems with any TTPs; blue teams investigate and respond to live attacks. When: October 6–8 Apply before: September 1 Standoff is not a classic attack-defense CTF. In terms of infrastructure, we're aiming to resemble real-world IT infrastructures instead of single VMs or tasks. In some ways, you can compare it with Pro Labs on Hack The Box. Our range consists of several of these infrastructures, each representing some kind of enterprise (e.g., a bank, an IT company, or even a metal production facility), and as an attacker, you'll have to breach the perimeter, perform some lateral movement inside, and then find and solve the tasks. You'll also have to fill out a pentest-like report on your actions to score. The blue teams will either monitor their piece of infrastructure and write reports on incidents that occurred there, or, in some cases, they will actively counter the attackers by using EDR software. Also, you can try out online ranges at https://standoff365.com/en-US/ to get an idea of what to expect at the main event. Please contact https://x.com/amoshkov if you have any questions.
